About the Author
Lauren Zehara Haas

Lauren Haas enjoyed belly dancing as Lauren Zehara for nearly 15 years. She owned two dance and yoga studios in the St. Louis area, performed in local restaurants and stage shows, and directed two troupes. Her dance career took her as far west as Las Vegas and as far east as Mumbai, and she loved every minute of it and continues to stay connected to the bellydance community online and through her writing.

In May of 2013, Lauren sold everything she owned, including her dance costumes. Now everything she owns fits in her backpack, and she is traveling the world as a nomadic writer.

Lauren writers for CBS, WebPsychology, Hipmunk and other sites. She is also the author of several books, DVDs and recordings.
